Mara Sternthal

- Management of all aspects of the GMX online marketplace
Mara Sternthal provides leadership and vision to GMX, establishing long range plans and strategy while overseeing day to day operations. Mara played a leading role in launching the GMX platform, developing the website in cooperation with the product team. Mara built and leads a team of over 20 sales reps in managing relationships with member companies representing a global footprint in over 68 countries. Her responsibilities include developing new revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships and managing an internal organization that supports these efforts.
Prior to Ascent Media, Mara consulted entertainment and new media clients, specializing in developing and implementing content acquisition and programming strategies, sourcing new revenue opportunities, negotiating partnerships and alliances. Her clients included media and technology companies such as Microsoft, VCs and institutional investors.
Previously, Mara served as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and Development at Paramount, overseeing the full spectrum of transactions for the Home Video Group and the development of new media business worldwide. She has also held various senior positions at Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, HBO and Cap Cities/ABC. She began her career as a banker on Wall Street with Irving Trust. Mara is a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Los Angeles Committee of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Daniel Punt
Director, Business DevelopmentKey Responsibilities
- Development of client base, strategic initiatives, and new business opportunities.
Daniel is focused on developing the client base; driving usage of GMX through strategic partnerships, marketing, and product development. He is also involved in validating and developing new revenue models.
Daniel has over 12 years of experience managing strategic, operational, and creative teams. Previously, he created and managed the business development department at ABC Family, part of the Disney Cable Networks Group, as well as advised senior executives of entertainment and technology clients as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. He began his career as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, where he managed the IT team on the helicopter carrier USS PELELIU.

Mary Coller Albert
Senior Executive, MarketingKey Responsibilities
- Marketing & Strategic Partnerships
At GMX, Mary oversees marketing and strategic partnerships which includes promotions, advertising and public relations. She is responsible for directing the brand strategy and traffic drivers and works closely with product and business development teams.
Previously, Mary headed marketing and promotions for Sony PlayStation’s video download service, where she oversaw all studio and network relationships, promotions and public relations. Prior to PlayStation, Mary was Chief Marketing Officer at Movielink, where she managed marketing, content acquisition, licensing, operations and product development. She has also held engagements as SVP and GM at Sony Pictures Digital where she was head of programming for Sony Connect Video and executive in charge of SoapCity, the first IP delivered service of current, day and date television programming. In 2007, Mary was named one of “Video Business Women Elite” by Video Business Magazine and her Movielink TV commercial starring Dennis Hopper, was named one of the “10 Best Spots” by AdWeek in 2006. Mary is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group.

Beth Bolivar

- Manages the GMX program and roadmap
Beth Bolivar is responsible for Program Management for GMX. She managed the open beta launch of GMX in July 2009, and oversees all new releases. Beth oversees all Program Management and Product Management for the GMX Platform. Beth is also the Program Manager for Ascent Media’s AERO program, an ERP solution to provide information management for digital and physical assets, from work order to delivery.
Prior to Ascent Media, Beth was an Account Director at Sapient Corporation, where she delivered market-leading business solutions and eCommerce web solutions. Beth has managed large-scale, global programs and teams for 12 years. She has extensive experience directing marketing and technical initiatives, project roadmaps and overall business strategy. In this capacity, Beth has provided guidance to clients on strategic projects, online/offline marketing initiatives, media campaigns, media planning, and SEM/SEO.
